THE ROYAL ARTILLERY VERSUS ROYAL ENGINEERS ANNUAL SQUASH MATCH “THE BOULNOIS TROPHY”

It’s Back!

The annual squash match between the Royal Artillery Squash Club (RASC) and the Royal Engineers Squash Club (RESC) named “The BOULNOIS trophy”. This has been the calendar event of the year for both clubs and boasts matches against the Army’s most elite squash players. The only break in this event not being played was for the first time last year due to COVID.

The competition is played between the top 5 players selected by the Corps Captains and seeded 1-5, each match is played to 11 and is best of 5 games. This year the competition was played at the Winchester sport and racket club and was won by the RASC.  The final score was 4-1 to the home team however the matches were very tightly contested with all matches being played to a great standard with both sides using this opportunity to give some emerging talent the opportunity to shine.

The teams will now prepare to meet again at the Army Sqaush Inter Corps championships in November 21 where the RA hope to retain the trophy after such a long break.
