Infantry Squash have played a number of fixtures against other Corps teams and civilian clubs over this last season. Sadly a number of events have recently had to be cancelled due to non-availability of players from the opposition; a sign of the times.
More recently Infantry Squash held the Inter Unit competition. In the interest of enticing players away from their units for only one day at a time, we broke with tradition by splitting the Inter Unit competition away from the Individual competitions, which usually run over three days. Despite early warning and persistent engagement only five teams were mustered which included for the first time , the SASC who have been taken under our wing. Needless to say the standard was good and each player played four matches over the day.
2 RGR retained their lead for the fourth year running. The infantry Individual Competitions will be run in December when we can expect to hand out the remainder of the silverware.
