The Army Squash Mens Team Captain, WO2 Dean Boys recently organised a UK squash tour to Bristol. 8 members of The Army Mens Squad including 2 players from The U25’s team took part.
They were welcomed at Workout Harbourside, Bristol; Lansdown Tennis, Squash & Croquet Club, Bath and Rocket Padel at Bristol.
Day 1 – The morning was spent travelling to their accommodation, The Bristol Wing hostel, ideally located near ‘Workout Harbourside and Bristol City Centre.
Once settled the headed to the Harbourside Club for a safety brief and light 45-minute training session. In the evening, they played their first competitive match against Workout Harbourside followed by a post-match supper in the Clubhouse Harbourside restaurant.

With no travelling time on day 2, the team had a longer 90-minute training session in preparation for their matches that evening against Lansdown Squash Club where Franz and Baz played exceptionally well.

Day 3 started with another early 90-minute training session. In the afternoon the team visited Rocket Padel, (a 14-court indoor state of the art padel club) for a team cohesion activity.
They rounded of the tour with a team meal in Bristol the evening before departing and travelling back the following day.
Overall, the UK Southern tour was a success and enjoyed by all those who took part.
